CRAFT
CRAFT Consortium: Cellular Revolution in Agriculture and Farming Technology
CRAFT
CRAFT enables farmers to produce cultivated meat as a complementary, decentralized, and resilient income model. The goal of the project is to commercialize cultivated meat farms, bringing together technologies from different tech pioneers and integrating them with agricultural practices.

Challenge
European farmers are under pressure:
- Increasing production costs
- Regulatory complexity
- Sustainability demands
- Margin pressure from retailers
- Public debate around animal protein
We need to develop solutions that:
- Strengthen production resilience
- Reduce environmental pressure
- Preserve food security
- Enable technological leadership

Opportunity
Cultivated meat offers a new approach to protein production. RespectFarms researches how to:
- Enable decentralized cultivated meat production
- Diversify farm income
- Increase profitability
- Reduce resource intensity
Envisioned to enable farmers, not replace them, we design our products specifically for farmers, one of the biggest industries in the world.
What We Craft
With the consortium members, RespectFarms develops a model for roll-out on locations worldwide. In this consortium, we focus on:
1Prove Feasibility
Prove the feasibility of decentral production of cultivated meat - from a technical and economic perspective.
2Design
Farm
Develop a circular and cost-efficient farm design that farmers can adopt in the transition towards cultivated meat.
3Develop Products
Craft farmers food: Our cultivated meat will be used as ingredient for versatile farmers' products.
4Engage Customers
Engage with farmers through workshops, presentations and conversations early on to show that farmers want this.
5Go to
Market
Coordinate and work towards commercializing together.
